New Jersey is far from the Texas-Mexico border, but its flavor is heading north.

According to https://www.mycentraljersey.com/ Capital Tacos, a Tex-Mex franchise, will open in Middlesex County early next year following a franchise agreement with the brand and entrepreneurs and New Jersey natives Parth and Yash Patel, according to a press release.

The brand currently has restaurants in Florida, Colorado, Georgia and North Carolina. This would be its first New Jersey location. It is currently seeking franchisees, the release said.

“Our current goal is to find the right home for Capital Tacos in New Jersey,” Parth Patel said in the release. “Although we haven’t made any final decisions, we’re particularly drawn to real estate options in Middlesex County. We’re hopeful we can find the proper real estate and begin the buildout process as quickly as possible to stay on track for an opening in the early months of 2024.”
