As reported by https://www.nj.com/ the Floraphile Garden Club of Cranford is inviting the community to celebrate its 75th anniversary at the Blossom & Brew Tea Party on Sunday, April 27 from 1 to p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford. The afternoon event will feature friends, fun, tasty treats, enchanting hats, and plenty of tea.
Founded in 1950, the Floraphile Garden Club includes members of all ages and gardening abilities. Community service is a core tenet of the group, with members participating in the yearly clean-up and beautification of local landmarks like the Cranford First Aid Squad, Girl Scout Park, Orange Ave. Pool and the Cranford Community Center.
The club also offers horticultural therapy programs at the Atria of Cranford, hosts workshops for seniors through Cranford’s Recreation & Parks Department, and leads children’s workshops at local schools to teach gardening skills and the importance of conservation. Additionally, the club donates resources to local organizations such as Cranford Family Care, the Cranford Historical Society, and Friends of Great Swamp.
