Union Kids Have An Egg-Cellent Time at Annual Easter Egg Hunt

As recently reported by Tapinto.net, the wet weather didn’t stop Union kids from collecting thousands of Easter eggs as part of Union’s Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.

“We’re excited so many people have come out to enjoy the event with us despite the weather,” said Superintendent of Recreation Robert Cowper.  “We’re happy to have made this an annual tradition for families every year. We have a lot of eggs to give out, a lot of prizes to give out.”

“This is an important day in the town,” said Township Committeeman Manuel Figueiredo.  “The kids are having a great time.”

The event was moved from Rabkin Park to the Union High school gym because of the anticipated rain and egg hunt times were staggered based on age group.  Infants and toddlers, as well as special needs children, went on the egg hunt first, followed by the older children later.
