Formosa Quartet Family Friendly Concert at Liberty Hall

As recently reported by tapinto.net, Liberty Hall Museum and Lyrica Chamber Music present the world-renowned Formosa Quartet in a family friendly, interactive concert on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 3 p.m. A hands-on workshop for children ages 5-12 will be held immediately following the concert. This event is recommended for ages 5 and up.  The concert will be held in Liberty Hall’s Historic Carriage House located on the museum campus at 1003 Morris Avenue in Union. 

Prices will be $8 for children and $5 for adults. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.  

The concert has been funded in part by a HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) Grant from the Union County Board of County Commissioners. 

Formosa Quartet formed in 2002 and is comprised of Jasmine Lin, David Bernat, Matthew Cohen, and Deborah Pae. The quartet members have previously taught at the Taos School and the Julliard School. Originally championing Taiwanese music and Indigenous cultures, they have since expanded and now also explore the rich musical heritages and folk traditions found across America. Formosa Quartet are the winners of the First Prize and Amadeus Prize at the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition. Their critically acclaimed performances at the Library of Congress, Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center, Wigmore Hall in London, die Glocke Bremen, and many more have captured the hearts of many.
