
The Union County St. Patrick’s Day Parade brought big crowds on Saturday as marchers, pipe bands, first responders, dance schools, community groups, and local officials filled the streets in a lively celebration of Irish heritage.
According to TAPinto Scotch Plains/Fanwood, this year’s parade was led by Grand Marshal Kerry Schardien‑Ricci of Scotch Plains, an oncology social worker and long‑time volunteer with Camp Fatima of New Jersey.
Organizers also introduced a 2½‑block sensory‑friendly quiet zone along the route, offering a more comfortable viewing area for individuals with sensory sensitivities.
