Public Parking Highlights Fifth Phase of Centurion Union Approved by the Union Township Planning Board

New Five-Story Building to Include 105 Public Parking Spaces with Residential Above

UNION, NJ – The Union Township Planning Board has approved the fifth phase of CENTURION Union Center, paving the way for construction to commence on a new residential building that will include much-needed public parking spaces.

The latest step in the revitalization of Union’s downtown center, the new five-story building will include a two-story parking garage with 105 ground floor spaces designated for public use. Three residential floors above will house 85 luxury rental residences, with the second floor of the garage containing 107 parking spaces allotted for CENTURION residents.

Located at 968 Bonnel Court, the building will join earlier phases of residences, modern amenities and street-level retail space completed by LANDMARK, which was designated the redeveloper of the Stuyvesant Avenue Redevelopment Project as part of a public-private partnership to infuse a new level of energy and excitement into Union Center.

When completed, CENTURION Union Center will feature more than 320 new residences and approximately 27,000 square feet of retail space housed in five buildings along Stuyvesant Avenue in the township’s downtown district which hadn’t experienced any new residential construction in more than three decades.

The initial phase of 80 luxury apartments launched leasing in September of 2020 and quickly leased up. The community’s second phase of 75 residences and seven retailers is virtually leased just two months after opening. CENTURION Union is also home to many local retailers, including Unity Bank, Emily’s Bakery, Illusions Hair, Norma’s Florist, Angie’s Nails, and the soon-to-open Qsina 8, a Ramen Noodle/Asian themed restaurant.
