Developers Unveil Final Piece of Five-Star Amenities at The Mint in Downtown Rahway

The final component of one of the most well-thought out and comprehensive amenity offerings in central New Jersey’s luxury apartment market has been unveiled at The Mint, the upscale rental community in Downtown Rahway, NJ.

Developers FieldsGrade and Slokker have officially introduced a sixth floor Sky Lounge in the second upscale building at The Mint, providing residents access to an outdoor rooftop terrace with lounge chairs, barbeque stations and attention-grabbing vistas that reach as far as New York City.  The rooftop is located directly off the stylish lounge which features a bar with seating, large screen TVs and a pool table.  The premium space joins a lengthy list of indoor amenities in the second apartment phase that include a game room with poker, ping pong and foosball tables and multiple work-from-home areas including co-working spaces, conference room, work pods and a library.

Utilizing a forward-thinking approach and extensive research into modern amenity trends when designing the second luxury building, the development team has created a package of shared spaces in phase two that not only doubles the community’s amenity package, but also fully complements the social and recreational offerings already found in the original building.

Shared resort-inspired amenities in the first building include a lounge with a billiards table and work cubes, fully-equipped fitness center with yoga room and FitnessOnDemand™, and a pet spa.  There’s also a second-floor landscaped deck features a swimming pool, BBQ and dining areas, and a fire pit with lounge seating.

“We seized the opportunity to provide modern amenities that fulfill all the wants of today’s contemporary renter,” said Robert Giannone, Director of Development for Fields Grade. “Phase two has a market-driven design that allows residents to enjoy a complete lifestyle highlighted by sought after amenities inside and out. It’s a truly immersive living experience where renters feel a heightened sense of community and belonging.”

The newest offering at The Mint features a collection of 109 studios, one- and two-bedroom homes with spacious floorplans and stylish appointments. Boasting a commuter-friendly location at 84 Monroe Street, The Mint is located steps from New Jersey Transit’s Rahway station, one of the few in the state with service on two train lines, allowing travelers to access both the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast routes.

The Marketing Directors, which executed the successful lease-up of the development’s first phase of 116 residences in 2020, is serving as the exclusive marketing and leasing agent for the newest residential offering at The Mint.  Homes are priced from $2,075 and are being offered with Grand Opening incentives that include up to two months free. Immediate occupancy is available.

“When we first introduced The Mint, we were excited to provide an elevated rental lifestyle in Downtown Rahway which had been growing in appeal thanks to its walkable setting and influx of new restaurants, shops and theaters enhancing its suburban surroundings,” said Nils Berten, VP USA of Slokker International.  “The first phase immediately became the signature rental building in this transit-friendly neighborhood, and we’re delighted to build on that experience with a new collection of residences and amenities.”

Designed by renowned architect Minno Wasko Architects and Planners, with interiors collaboratively designed with Minno Wasko and Factioned, The Mint offers a collection of spacious and airy residences featuring luxury plank flooring, nine-foot ceiling heights, windows with complimentary treatments, and in-home washer and dryer.  Kitchens come equipped with soft-close cabinetry, quartz countertops and a stainless-steel appliance package.  Lavish bathrooms feature full-height tiled walls in baths.  A limited number of two-bedroom homes offer a bonus den, while select apartments feature private balconies and rooftop terraces.

“These open and bright floorplans are a welcoming respite for residents returning home from work or the busy social scene in downtown Rahway,” added Jacqueline Urgo, President of The Marketing Directors.  “Designer finishes can be found throughout the homes, creating an upscale-but-comfortable living environment.”

When not enjoying the amenities at The Mint or lounging at home, residents have a lively and dynamic downtown center at their fingertips.  Situated just 20 miles from New York City, Rahway offers its own cosmopolitan lifestyle with an urban/suburban twist right at home.  Driven by the Rahway Arts and Business Partnership, Rahway’s Main Street corridor and its surrounding area features dining, shops and a robust schedule of farmer’s markets, cultural events and concerts.

The district is home to popular eateries like Luciano’s, Nancy’s Townehouse, The Irving Inn and CubaNu Restaurant and Lounge, nightlife at the legendary Waiting Room and Wet Ticket Brewing Company, as well as countless shops and daily services.  Cultural attractions can be found at the 199-seat Hamilton Stage for the Performing Arts, historic Union County Performing Arts Center, and The Gallery Space Rahway.

In addition to the in-town train station, Rahway is served by U.S. Routes 1/9 and 27, and is located in between the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike.
