Downtown Westfield’s annual Shakespeare in the Park tradition returns August 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. in Foundation Park. This year’s performance features Acting Out’s modern take on Shakespeare’s comedy The Taming of the Shrew.

The outdoor show is presented by the Westfield Public Arts Commission and supported by Spencer Savings Bank. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs, though chair rentals will be available for those who prefer not to carry their own. Lions Roar Brewing Co. will be on site selling beer and nonalcoholic beverages throughout the event.
